I delayed for quite awhile before looking at your blog!
Its quite well-written.

The ingrown hair gene is widespread – I had one or two such hairs,
but a dermatologist simply removed ‘em – end of obnoxious growing pattern

I hope academic progress has been steady. It seems that a PhD is the
typical terminal degree today, for native English-speakers, at least.

My oldest daughter also struggles to get classes, as does everyone it seems.
I now dabble in IT after a long career as a database developer, and live
on other sources of income…may be too addicted to stay away from IT though esp genomics…
– that is an area that is exploding with activity… meanwhile I get a trickle of
income and encouragement from my art…. hard to define my style/genre, though…

best wishes – perhaps you will discuss your other interests more elsewhere…

Hey! I like your blog – I was doing some late night interneting and stumbled across it.

As someone who’s never quite fit into the naturally submissive woman category easily, I find the existence of a young dominant woman who doesn’t conform to that idealized dom-ness refreshing, and reassuring. So, sweet!

I hope you feel better – it seems like everyone’s been super sick lately.

I actually tried Deviant art- it’s not really my cup of tea, so I took my stuff down. I keep a blog to throw out random rants and “Aren’t I clever!” style mumbings.

Hello Phalene:

I rather like your blog/journal. If you are interested in a much wider
readership, I strongly recommend deviantart.com (“DA”) – esp. since you seemed
inclined to art. The ids are free or paid. It is the largest art site on the net,
and has _every_ genre well-represented.

As well as my (very limited) fetlife profile, my online presence at
DA is on dofaust and artin2007 – the latter is spicier and has several references
to my SM leanings….

You should know that almost any professional in almost any profession
often is far more of a procrastinator than you would believe…. the stories
I could tell you…. more for later I hope…

I agree so much with what you’re saying. I’m a young woman – confident, extremely politically aware, strongwilled, etc etc. Sexually I can top or sub happily but for the past year and a half I’ve been with a man only interested in topping, so I’ve been on the bottom, which I like. When I was younger, it took me a while to be comfortable with that particular part of me, now I can roll with it. It doesn’t make me less of a feminist and it doesn’t mean my partner and I respect each other the less. The roles we play don’t carry outside the bedroom and we stay away from the whole BDSM ’scene’. I *like* being objectified in a consensual, sexual situation with someone I like. Outside of it I’ll start punching people. My sexual predeliction has nothing to do with political views, and while I’ll accept using extreme views in a sexual situation (porn or real) it doens’t mean I can’t spot it when it’s dressed in leather.
